Online Courses about Digital Health

The following set of courses are offered via online institutions as an alternative to formal tertiary level education in the above section. These courses come at discounted prices and in some cases are free. The following are aimed at people that are seeking an introduction to the field or are looking to develop their skill set further. These are multi format courses, including textbooks, videos, quizzes and online lectures done at the convenience of the learner. Often, these courses will result in a certificate of completion for the learner, though no formal qualification.

All Coursera course can be completed for free, but paying fees results in access to a wider range on information and certification of completion.

Times for completion are in almost all cases, approximations only.

I’ve just removed all the dead links and made the good links Onebox where possible. Looks much prettier!

Should CHIA be included here do you think?

Is CHIA an online course or just an exam. I think they have practice exams and an ebook but not an online course but might be wrong.

It’s not an online course. You get a pack of reading and you swot up and go write the exam. I think the addition of CHIA to this website should be a HiNZ Board decision (because the NZ version is not yet signed off)

This list of online courses was compiled as a student project from a course in the University of Auckland’s BHSc (a couple of years pre-pandemic). It might make a good new project to update this list by using a new student. If you want this to be a student project please let @kylie know as she’s liaising with the course co-ordinator at the moment about projects.
