The NZ Privacy Act 2020
Your personal data is protected in New Zealand by the Privacy Act 2020. This provides, amongst other things, that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly. It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive.

The Forum treats all the data held with the utmost care and security. Any details you give will remain confidential.

Member data
We collect information from you when you register on our site and gather data when you participate in the forum by reading, writing, and interacting with the content shared here.
When registering on our site, you will be asked to enter your name, mobile number, postcode, job title, profession, and other details as a condition of joining. Your e-mail address will be verified by an email containing a unique link. If that link is visited, we know that you control the e-mail address.
When registered and posting, we record the IP address that the post originated from. We also may retain server logs which include the IP address of every request to our server.
Interaction with HiNZ member data
Your member data will be shared with HiNZ in order to facilitate the coordination of online and in-person events. It also enables HiNZ member-only Forum content to be shared appropriately and safely. On occasion, Forum members will be asked to consider joining HiNZ as financial members.
