Needing information on SMART HEALTHCARE/SMART NURSING projects, innovations within Aotearoa

LOOKING FOR DATA ON SMART HEALTHCARE / SMART NURSING IN AOTEAROA

During 2022/2023 I worked with International Council of Nurses and connected with global colleagues from across the WHO regions.

Following this mahi, I was recently elected Vice President of the Key Alliance of Smart Nursing - KASN.

My primary focus is to ensure that Aotearoa is represented within this network.

The inaugural conference being held on 5th April – 1800-2200hrs (NZST) – registration is free (https://kasn.or.kr/bbs/board.php?bo_table=conferences&wr_id=1)

I would love to showcase what is happening in Aotearoa during my section within the conference. I am looking for any information that you could share with me about your current work programmes, projects, innovations that you are leading or involved in, in Aotearoa. You would receive full credit within the presentation and it would be a great way to globally share what you are using, designing, piloting.

Please reach out to me with any information/contacts by 25th March.

KASN – Key Alliance of Smart Nursing / Korean Association of Smart Nursing - https://www.kasn.or.kr/

The purpose of KASN is to contribute to the development of smart nursing across research and education; such as information (and communication) technology (IT & ICT), artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twins in healthcare.

KASN has global representation from 13 locations throughout the 6 WHO regions.

Following the COVID pandemic, innovation in healthcare has grown exponentially – KASN aims to globally connect the nursing workforce so that smart healthcare initiatives can be shared to achieve universal health coverage.

Membership to KASN is free.

I would really love to ensure that Aotearoa is represented within this network.

Hi @Louise_Chan, apologies for delay have just returned from leave. I have worked on the Cortex implementation in Christchurch which has digitised many nursing workflows. If you would like further information I’d be happy to email you with details. Kind regards, Stace.

That would be great. Really appreciate it. Thank you so much. My email is louise.chan@mhaids.health.nz

Kia ora Louise, sorry I’m not sure how I missed this when you originally posted and sounds great. Congratulations on being elected as Vice President. I see I’ve missed the deadline but would be happy to share projects I have been involved in.

Kia Ora Erin, that would be awesome. Thank you. Ka pai. Email address above. Much appreciated.

There’s certainly a lot going on in digital health currently. We’re involved in the deployment into aged care services of PMS systems through HCSL.

Hi Louise,

The last few years I’ve worked on a programme that focuses on quality health information or data integrity. It may not be what you are looking for as it is not a new technology, it’s very much about DATA! It’s the connection between data input eg Snomed, and in-patient EHRs and data output, eg. clinical coded data or administrative data.

I created a wiki page if you want a little more info.
CDI . Give me a shout, if you want to know more.
