I’m delighted to announce that the Emerging Health Technology & Innovation (EHT) online community, currently previously hosted on yammer.com by Te Whatu Ora, will be joining the eHealth Forum in the near future has joined the eHealth Forum.
Why bring them together?
While both communities have their own focus and flavour, there is a lot of crossover between them in terms of people, ideas, and origins. Both were formed around the same time (2018), and both have accumulated hundreds of users - many of them members of both.
We observed that conversations had a tendency to be silo’d in one or the other, and folk expressed that it was challenging to keep up with multiple discussion platforms in the digital health sector. Administering multiple platforms and communities is hard work, and there are few hands. All this means that consolidating in a single place makes a lot of sense.
What to expect
The technical migration preparations have already been made, and we are working on customising the new eHealth Forum based home of EHT so that it gives a great experience. We anticipate that we’ll be ready to move during August, and will keep you posted.
If you are a member of both EHT and the eHealth Forum, as part of the merger process you may notice a few emails and confirmations coming your way to another email address or two.
