Hospitals should have technology ethics committees like they have clinical ethics committees
In the absence of regulatory oversight, hospitals and clinical providers are at the front-line of HIT in way that we haven’t been since the the pre-FDA/EMA era. Ethics is a key element of this, but technical understanding and oversight is also critical.

I think some of the DHBs have new technology groups - eg. Auckland but the discussions/assessments aren’t shared.
