At the moment, the @NMI is a group without a category within Discourse.

This means that in order to communicate together, instead of posting on #nz-forum you either

  1. Reply to a message thread like this one and don’t worry about it too much more
  2. For a new thread, create a Personal Message (look for the :email: icon) and address it to @NMI

This is excellent. I dont htink we will need to worry to much and the ability to personal message is great. How do we publisise it? Happy new year by the way.

We will keep publicising it in our HINZ NI SIG newsletter and on the website hopefully. Word of mouth is also a great way to get new members and create dialogue.

To close the loop on this, the group messages mentioned above have now been rolled into a dedicated sub-category (this one). It is #ciln-only:nmi-only.

Anything posted in this subcategory is only visible to other nurses and midwives, and will appear in their main feeds. They will also receive a notification.

The @NMI-exec group still exists and functions the same as before (for private exec-only discussion).
