Unpacking “Ethical AI” A curated reading list
It’s interesting - this is a good list, and should make for some interesting reading. However, I do note, that this comes largely from a societal, as opposed to biomedical use of AI. It does seem to be a default even in the ethics space that medical use of AI is looking for models of ethical AI from the business world - two paradigms of ethics that typically are kept apart. If we extend the analogy, we would look to the pharmaceutical industry for clinical trials ethics. It seems to be one of the major draw-backs has been that the requirement of trial and assumption of equipoise prior to using a drug is completely absent in the culture of AI at this time.
