This thread is for the informal posting and discussion of potential positions in NZ Informatics.
If are even thinking of looking for a person for a clinical or leadership health informatics position in NZ, tell us about it. If it is an actual position that is advertised, please include the link.
Training positions being considered or offered (such as a Digital Health Fellowship) would be appropriate, as would other learning opportunities.
Lastly, if you are looking for a job or want to get trained - this is the place for you.
Please remember that the Chatham House Rule applies, and personally identifying information in this (or any other non-public thread) in this forum is not to be shared outside of the forum without the person’s explicit consent.
My Digital Health Fellowship will wrap up in August this year and I’d love to come back to New Zealand.
If you know of or are willing to create a position for an enthusiastic anaesthetist who has jumped head-first into digital health then please get in touch.
I’m looking for a position in which I am paid at SMO rates to do Digital Health 1/2 time and clinical anaesthesia the other 1/2. Additionally, I am seeking mentoring and support in management, executive engagement , and strategy as I develop further in these areas.
A side point is that my lovely wife will also need to land a job as an academic colorectal surgeon. And we need a good nanny!
My CV is attached; please feel free to forward it to appropriate people.
I am recruiting a 0.4 FTE Clinical Apps Trainer and Support Consultant. This role will cover training& support of TRENDCARE and our E-discharge solution. I’m looking for a nurse who is keen to develop in health informatics whilst remaining clinical. The position is advertised here. https://careers.mercyascot.co.nz/jobdetails?ajid=iShB7
Hi, Karl and I are looking for a PA/Admin Assistant to join our team. Please pass on to your networks if you know anyone looking for a change in 2019. Happy to support flexible working.
I’ll have to check with our governance and project sponsors of these position. A major proportion of this role is to support the quality assurance requirements of Vensa’s Precision-Driven Health funded research project that is looking to safely automate the relaying to patients of normal laboratory results. The current gaps in our research team include expertise in Maori engagement, and a medical lead (which can also facilitate access to their practice as a co-investigator).
A nurse practitioner could practically fill the needs of the Maori engagement lead but I will have to check with the project governance membership to determine if a nurse practitioner’s suitable for that position. However, I am open for expresions of interests of suitably qualified nurse practitioners that will then be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the clinical members of our project governance.
