We’ve got plenty of people here on the Forum who are deeply knowledgeable about the practicalities and real world usage of SNOMED-CT. @MValentine, @keithduddy, @alastairk, @Evan, @david.hay pop to mind immediately, but there are loads of others.
I’ll also hold my hand up here as I’ve done the SNOMED Implementation Course, am a Co-Chair of the SNOMED on FHIR Advisory Group and have a FHIR Terminology Server that includes the NZ Edition of SNOMED CT (plus the recent LOINC and NUVA extensions). At the moment, I’m particularly interested in how SNOMED CT is being used by client systems and helping anyone struggling with how to integrate FHIR Terminology Services into their application.
Hi @Mutanda - fantastic to hear you’re tackling the SNOMED CT Implementation course. My team at HNZ runs the SNOMED National Release Centre that produces our standard distro the SNOMED NZ Edition and surfaces this and our other standard code systems via the NZ Health Terminology Service. I hope you can make our next SNOMED NZ Hui on Teams in October 2025. Here’s a link to the May 2025 edition.
