Hi All,

We wanted to proactively raise two important points that might impact your implementation work, so you are aware of them before encountering any issues:

  1. Refset File Renaming: From Refset Name to Refset ID
With recent SNOMED releases, the file names for refsets have changed from using the refset name to using the refset ID. If your system or processes are dependent on the previous naming convention, this change may cause errors or disrupt your workflow. We recommend reviewing your scripts to ensure they can handle refset file names based on the refset ID, or consider updating them to dynamically adapt to future naming conventions.

  2. Term Lengths > 255 Characters
Starting from April 2024, the term lengths in the New Zealand SNOMED Extension have increased beyond the previous 255-character limit. The new term length limit is now 4096 characters. Please ensure that your systems, including storage, UI display, and data exchange mechanisms, are compatible with this change.

We encourage you to make the necessary adjustments to prevent disruptions and ensure your systems are prepared for these updates.

If you have any questions or require further guidance, feel free to reach out.

Best regards
Evan
