I’m reaching out regarding an exciting opportunity within Te Aho o Te Kahu – Cancer Control Agency. We’re currently in the process of recruiting for a key position: Senior Advisor (Health Informatics) in our Data & Analytics Team. We’re seeking someone who is passionate about health informatics, particularly those with an interest in becoming proficient in or who already possess skills as a clinical informatician. As a Senior Advisor, your role will be pivotal in driving world-leading cancer informatics initiatives and fostering innovation in healthcare IT.

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Clinical Expertise with SNOMED CT Focus: You’ll be tasked with providing expert guidance on projects, particularly in implementing advanced SNOMED CT terminology.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians and external partners, to enhance our collaborative efforts in cancer care.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead key initiatives and guide other team members, promoting skill enhancement and professional growth.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Health sector experience, especially in cancer-related work.
  • Proficiency in SNOMED CT is an advantage, with training support available.
