Register here for the 5 May CiLN meeting in Wellington

OK so now the May HiNZ conference is cancelled, we need to decide what is happening with the CiLN meeting. It seems to me options are:

  1. Cancel the meeting altogether.
  2. Continue with a virtual digital meeting
  3. Continue with in-person meeting.

I suggest we plan for option 2. and make the focus on what informatics can do for the COVID response. The Discourse discussion threads are a good starting point.

As pointed out in the disucssion threads, one thing IT needs to be doing now in response to COVID -19 is to help connect people without relying on an in-person presence (workplace remote access, video conference links etc). Planning for a virtual conference meeting in itself would be a worthwhile learning exercise. If anyone can do this we should be able to!
