Digital Health Week NZ starts with this hands-on education day and connectathon to launch Aotearoa’s new national terminology service

Join us to learn from the experts at CSIRO about their product Ontoserver and how to use it for access to SNOMED CT, LOINC and other FHIR code systems, value sets and concept maps

The morning session is aimed at a broad audience and will suit architects, project managers, developers and content people. In the afternoon we’ll break into groups to explore how to use the service in specific areas, including structured pathology reporting, medicines and core personal health information. You’ll get hands-on experience with the API and associated tools for creating FHIR code sets, value sets and concept maps.

The cost for the whole day, including catering, is just $45

I wish I could be there Alistair. At $45 it sounds like an incredible bargain for anyone wishing to learn more about these fundamental aspects of interoperability without which development of an integrated health information system will be impossible. I hope the day goes well.

For anyone who registered early for DHWNZ and would like to add the NZHTS connectathon to their ticket, the way to do it is to email registrations@hinz.org.nz. The same goes for the SNOMED on FHIR workshop
