UK’s North Bristol NHS Trust and the Bristol Robotics Laboratory at the University of the West of England are collaborating on the development of robotics and other technologies to improve patients’ hospital experience.
The partnership will explore how emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and assistive robots connected to smart sensors, could be used to better support patients. This includes looking at whether robots could provide guidance to post-operative patients, or support patients recovering at home.
It will also explore the potential for robotics that can assist doctors and nurses in their day-to-day duties.
