New APIs to integrate HealthPathways into clinician workflows

Hi everyone

In case it is relevant to any projects you’re involved with, HealthPathways now has two APIs for integrating clinical pathways into clinician workflows and I’d be really interested in any feedback, or suggestions for improvement.

  1. Pathway Link API - Lets clinicians access HealthPathways from other clinical applications (e.g. link to related pathways from your problem list in an EHR, or from an e-referral form).

  2. App Launch API - Lets clinicians launch other clinical applications from HealthPathways (e.g. launch an e-referral form or a decision support tool directly from a pathway).

Community HealthPathways is now available in every DHB in New Zealand and the APIs are free to use. The application process for developers or system vendors wanting to use the APIs is here:
