National Health Information Platform

Hi All,

Many of you will have seen one of my presentations on the status of the national Health Information Platform.
I want to make sure that CiLN are included as a key conduit for clinical engagement.

For those who haven’t seen an NHIP update the easiest starting point is probably the NZHIT Scott Arrol podcast here https://anchor.fm/scott-arrol/episodes/EP47-And-then-Covid-happened------Darren-Douglass--General-Manager--Digital-Strategy-and-Investment--Data--Digital--NZ-Ministry-of-Health-els4pe There are also webcasts via HINZ and the NZ Telehealth Leadership Forum.

If you want to know more then drop me a line or suggest a better way to engage with CiLN.

Thank you, Darren.

We are certainly keen to be involved. As a community, we would be delighted to offer our input to aspects of NHIP. This can occur in several ways:

  1. Informally here in the main CiLN Forum, where you or one of your Ministry of Health colleagues post a question or a request for specific feedback.
  2. Via a survey or poll of CiLN members (or a subset of CiLN members), which can be rapidly deployed. I can help you with these.
  3. Via a more formal arrangement with a CiLN working group. This working group can then bring things to our wider community as needed.

This is the NZ Telehealth webinar:

Good morning Darren,

We had the nHIP sector advisory panel established, that included CiLN representation- have you considered breathing life back into the SAP? That might support both clinical and sector engagement.
