I saw the article and wondered if there is an opportunity or a plan here to create a centralised connected patient portal where appointment letters, clinical letters, results etc can be accessed by patients? And allow patients to update demographics?
It would allow both primary and tertiary healthcare information to come together for a patient?
Similar to the NHS app perhaps?

From using the My Health Account it seems ManageMyHealth has now integrated with this.
Have there been any examples of any public hospital systems integrating with this yet? Iām interested in this in relation to new systems we will be getting at Southern as part of our New Dunedin Hospital, and wanting to make sure we are aligned with the national direction.
@damon National IDAM programme @GARRYJ is leading on this area in the public hospital system.
My Health Account Workforce and Consumer is designed as part of supporting the authentication needs of My Health Records https://my.health.nz/ as part of Hira release in middle of this year.
