Making the most of the eHealth Forum for NAHSTIG

I had the opportunity to spend some time with the good people on @NAHSTIG-council this morning. We discussed how we can make the best use of the eHealth Forum for NAHSTIG. Here are some notes which may prove helpful:

Membership

When people join the eHealth Forum and indicate that they identify as being in an Allied Health, Scientific, or Technical profession, they are automatically made members of NAHSTIG.

Relevant spaces

Relevant spaces for NAHSTIG at present:

  1. Public
    • content accessible without a login
  2. General
    • for all interested in health informatics
  3. CiLN
    • for all clinical informaticians only
  4. NAHSTIG
    • for all NAHSTIG members (visible to CiLN members, but they are not notified)
  5. NAHSTIG Council Only

Your members details are all accessible here: ehealthforum.nz/g/NAHSTIG-council/reports

Joining Flow

I suggest asking HINZ (via @alex) to modify https://www.hinz.org.nz/page/AHSTIG a bit:

  1. Change the URL to https://www.hinz.org.nz/page/NAHSTIG (is missing the ā€˜Nā€™)
  2. Deprecate the membership form and instead direct people to eHealth Forum
    • this will result in the automatic joining of the @NAHSTIG group
  3. Remove the dead link to A Digital Competency Framework for Allied Health Professionals (NHS)
