When you log onto the Forum, you will see a new bit on the left of the screen (on mobile via the 
button bottom left). These are designed to make it easier to find your way around. They are in response to feedback.
Categories
You’ll recall that Categories are collections of topics. They can be restricted to specific groups, can have special functionality added, and divided into sub-categories.
These are displayed on the top of the left sided ‘pane’. You can expand any sub-categories that are visible to you, and the Category that you are in is subtly highlighted.
Groups
Groups are collections of people. You’ll see them on the bottom of the left pane.
They can be used to control access and notifications to various parts of the Forum, and can be used to communicate directly via Group personal messages; clicking on the group name will take you to these.
