We’ve had the full gamut of emojis available as reactions on Chat for a while, which of course has been more recently developed.
After a quite successful trial of , and some further development by Discourse of the plugin which enables reactions, it seems time to add a bit more colour here.
Do indicate in the poll above what you think of this. Or simply react to this post!
Well, we didn’t get a whole lot of answers to that poll above (there were more, but they got lost when the poll was refreshed) - but there certainly seems to be some level of interest in being able to show a wider range of emotion.

This removes the technical limitation that was causing me to drag my feet. Therefore, I’ve implemented the Reactions plugin:
We can add more emojis if there is an obvious lack. In principle, I’d like to steer away from negative emojis though.
