IPS-athon at DHWNZ 2023

For everyone joining or following our IPS-athon at DHWNZ 2023, here’s a bit about what we’re doing over the two days.

  • First, the IPS-athon is all about developing the standards and infostructure that will enable consumers to tell their health story in digital form, wherever they may be around the country and across the Pacific
  • NZ Patient Summary is the product we’re building - a fully-conforming adaptation of the International Patient Summary (IPS) that embeds our unique requirements in Aotearoa
  • At the event you’ll hear from e-patient Iosefa, whose interactions with care providers and with whānau it’s our goal to improve with the patient summary
  • By using IPS and its FHIR and SNOMED underpinnings, we’ll have a world-class interoperable product that promises mutual recognition of patient summaries with other countries doing the same

This event is for health software developers, service designers, clinicians and everyone interested in the digitalisation of health.
