I’d been keen to weigh in on this, in that the system wasn’t wanted by clinicians or radiologists, or seemingly anyone actually using the product…
When the ease of setting up a single (but replicated) system to run the country for RIS and PACS would actually be reasonably easy…
And yes, it’s a pitch for using the system we use, as it can expand to fit whatever size need exists, is easily replicated, and wouldn’t cost anywhere near the insane amounts of money currently being spent.
Those of us operating on shoestring budgets make things work… Those with massive budgets seem less inclined to make something come in under budget and save some money for the tax payers…
Issue is yet again those that make the choices aren’t the ones on the coalface…
