The Northern Region are looking at its product road maps for capability around distribution of clinical documents (Discharge Summaries, Clinic Letters, Procedure reports) in various formats e.g. PDF, Word Documents, HL7 ORUs, Image formats from multiple DHB clinical systems to recipients such as regional document repositories and other health professional e.g.GPs, LMCs, Patients etc. Often these clinical summaries need to be routed to multiple recipients and with transformation to ensure the recipients receive the summary in the format their system requires. The capability also requires a support UI to ensure message tracking and delivery.
The project team at healthAlliance would like to understand current state for other DHBs and PHOs for this sort of capability. We currently use locally developed products for these use cases.
