Here is the latest version of the framework we have been working on - with the slides from today’s session - please suggest places where others can go to gain skills and knowledge for these domains and disciplines, lets confirm our definitions. I want to explore how we make this available online for everyone (ideas welcome)… :slight_smile:ETIH_ Introducing a Knowledge and Skills Framework 201905_v_1_0.pptx (15.4 MB)

@jon_herries Will post some references for you in the next few days. It’s a great piece of work you’re driving. Thank you. As we discussed I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised that quite a bit of this work has been done.

Hi Jon Herries this is a really interesting piece of work. Anna Marie Scroggins and I were discussing yesterday around how do we justify releasing clinical staff for upskilling opportunities (particularly nursing and AH) and how do we aim to measure the impact this has against the service outcomes? I.e. beyond follows/ time in motion for each digital literacy component how do we justify it has improved care or services? Wondering what we can do beyond confidence scales self reported or against a framework. Keen for any thoughts you have in this space.

Interesting that they use a triangle/pyramid too - I feel I am in good company  also interesting that the top two barriers to progress seem quite linked - ie. lack of culture to adopt digital (1) and lack of digital/data literacy (2). I figure if we crack (2) we crack (1)…?

I agree.
One aspect came to mind consistently over those days last week and that was the need to embrace behavioural psychology as part of digital change management.

On the varying approaches of change management I’ve found the three key items raised by Tali Sharot (Prof from UC London) as part of neuro behavioral psychology in healthcare really easy to apply to various projects: Social incentives, Immediate rewards and Progress Reports.

The sound won’t work for me :frowning:

It worked for me, it was turned right down on the video itself

Thanks for sharing @jon_herries, this is indeed interesting work. I believe it is very important to use data, responsibly and would suggest that we include Data Ethics (more here) in this framework.

ResBaz & Bootcamps are some examples where we can up skill in such data and digital skills…

For sharing content online, if you just want to share your (PDF) presentations, sites like SpeakerDeck are great, I used it recently for my ResBaz deck… if you are looking for more collaborative style, I suggest uploading it on GitHub and publishing using github pages (see this and this)

Yeah - have been mulling over the best way to actually present the education/skill development opportunities - want to couple accessibility with something that is maintainable. GitHub is probably a bit technical - was thinking of something a bit like quickbase.com?
