😱 Help! I can't log in or join the eHealth Forum!

Sometimes it is tricky to get onto any system, even if it has been well-designed. Corporate emails can cause all kinds of headaches, and trying to login in via a different / new device can make for significant frustration.

Trouble with signing up

The biggest problem people have tends to be validating your email. This is a vital step to prevent spam accounts and ensure that the email has been entered correctly (very easy to stuff up!).

Steps to work through:

  1. Have you filled in all the mandatory fields?

  2. Is your email correct?

  3. Have you checked your spam / junk folder?

  4. Consider using your personal email instead.

If you still have no luck, email the admins (see below)

Can’t log in

If you are trying to login to the eHealth Forum (and it has been a while), and that pesky password isn’t easily at hand, don’t despair. You still have options.

Option 1 - Use OAuth

You can use Google or GitHub to authenticate your account. You’ll see these buttons on the login screen:

We’ll add more in time; of note, Microsoft authentication is quite tricky as your Tenant must specifically approve the ehealthforum.nz app before it will work.

Option 2 - Use a login link

Once you have entered your email, a link will magically appear underneath the email field:

Click the link and you’ll receive an email.

:red_exclamation_mark: currently this goes to the Primary email on your account, which may not be the one you have put in. Go check your other inboxes! This might be fixed in future (Send the email login link to the entered email address (not to the Primary email) - Feature - Discourse Meta)

Option 3 - Reset your Password

Everyone hates doing this, but sometimes it is the smartest thing to do.

Make sure you save your new password to your password manager of choice to prevent this happening in future.

I still can’t make it work!

If you are trying to sign up for the first time, but not having any luck, then you probably need some heavy-duty admin support. You can email them using this link:
