I am enjoying my interactions with other members of the Virtual Health Interest Group under NZHIT. I suspect I may have been the first person there to mention Digital Therapeutics (of which ableX is one example, and Adherium another). Today the HealthXL network has released a report on this emerging category within digital health, which includes a helpful definition and highlights some of the challenges for companies pioneering in these waters. It also notes a number of the things that characterise the emergence of DTx, such as actionable health economics.

I’ve asked to have a copy of the full report and will post it here once received.
Not sure I will be posting it after all - market report costs EUR3500. Not within our limited means. Anyone up to co-fund?

The term came into existence under the premise that mobile software can be effective medical treatments. DTx certainly seem to exhibit a superiority above all the ‘banal’ digital health solutions, but is the promise real?”]
