So - How do we as non-multi-national corporate giants get our hats in the ring for this?

That is an obscene amount of money to have available for literally a National PACS - as they removed the National RIS component. Maybe I need to do a quote and add on extra zeros to make them have a look?

That does sometimes need to be what is required!!!

I’ve never had much luck with local, clever, and cheap suggestions. People seem to be very resistant to anything other than expensive, supported by an enormous dysfunctional organisation, and widely used.

Herd mentality? Risk averse? Lack of imagination? Something like that.

It’s a shame because it could be done very economically - software wise it’s insane that for some reason there’s a need to go with options that cost the earth. We’re worrying about lack of Drs and nurses on the ground then we throw money away on things like this.. and for the software to drive what hardware is acceptable is even more daft…
