I am sorry I can’t be there and hope you all have fun. If there are any great electronic gadgets being given away they would go great at my homešŸ˜€

There is a welcome reception on Monday evening starting at 5:30pm. So perhaps we could meet somewhere there at 7pm (or earlier) and head out for dinner then? If anyone has a suggestion for a meeting point, please post it here.
Enjoy everyone!

Sounds good. First time in Sydney so no idea about meeting point! :slight_smile:

Maybe we all aim to ā€˜check-in’ to our Discourse app on Monday?? Or, maybe conference app would enable some group chat . . Instant group messaging vital in such scenarios :wink:

Let me know if I can help on that front from afar - the Forum has group messaging via several means, but they all depend on people turning on notifications to receive them (something we haven’t pushed as yet)

Hope you guys have a brilliant time over there!!

How time flies, but it was really fabulous to see many of you at MedInfo2023! A few of us (@timc @BeckyGeorge @karenshaw @searnshaw @jesse.whitehead) had an informal chat about how to bring home some of our reflections from that week. Thank you @timc for setting up a place to jot down our thoughts. For those of you who were able to go, please contribute here:

This was started outside of ehealthforum with the idea being to gain input from others not yet participating in this awesome platform :wink:

Next steps are to be collectively determined, but might start with a document to compile thoughts noted on the Miro board, and then engage more widely . . .

For me, the exciting part of MedInfo23 was to learn about a standards-based digital ecosystem that is being advocated globally:

While I applaud the intent, a Miro board is quite inaccessible without jumping through several hoops. It is also another platform (in this case closed source and SAAS) that is difficult to integrate with. Nice visual collaboration tool though, which this platform doesn’t do very well.

As in health generally, every new platform (especially without interoperability) that we add to our ecosystem increases the complexity of our interactions, and we lose some accessibility and communication effectiveness as a result.

It would be great to distil this down to text and images here on the eHealth Forum, preferably before it fades from memory. This could be started as a personal message wiki for those involved, and then converted to a Topic (any of the @moderators can do this).

@emily.gill - any progress here?
