Someone advised me that they can’t remember their username or password for the eHealth Forum. I would imagine that will happen to other people. Are you able to add a question and answer to this in the FAQs? It might also be good to upload a post directing people to this.
On other platforms, where people have forgotten their passwords, there is usually a way to automatically reset your password (e.g., you click ‘forgotten your password’).
This is a common problem for many people, and is a consequence of our complex online lives which require us to log in to many different platforms. Fortunately, Discourse (our platform) handles this pretty painlessly via email login links or by a more conventional password reset.
To login via an email link
All you need to do is go to visit the site and use the button. Pop in either your username (which I always forget) or your email address. You’ll then get the option to login via an email link (red arrow):
Once in, you might like to change your password. This can be done via your security settings. Of course, you can do that directly from the login dialogue too.
Please note that the eHealth Forum will keep you logged in until you expressly log out, to minimise this pain. You will also need to login for the first time that you use it on a new device, or if you use a different browser or app to access it.
Lastly, you can get help via support@forum.hinz.org.nz (which is on the login page) if you still have trouble.
