At our small (but digitally very savvy) private health group, we were a little confused about how to do patient ethnicity data capture and storage.
There seems to be some discordance between the HISO 2017 Ethnicity Data Protocols and the current advice on the Te Whatu Ora ethnicity page:
In particular, the above page has a few old and apparently obsolete HISO documents prominently referred to:
Publications
Can anybody on here arrange for that to be tidied up? Otherwise, we’ll be having more people making the same mistake we did and using the old stuff.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. For capture and storage of ethnicity data, please refer to the HISO 10001:2017 Ethnicity Data Protocols .
We have asked the National Collections team to address the relevant pages on the Te Whatu Ora website.

Good afternoon Nathan
You should contact @alastairk who is the Chairman of HISO .
He should be able to help you.

Thanks everyone, we’re on to it, as @Skerruish says. We’re still a little ‘between websites’ at the moment as we move (or remove) content from the Ministry website to Te Whatu Ora. It’s really useful to have the anomalies pointed out, so thank you
