Welcome to new clinicians joining the discussion! Any clinicians from Waitemata DHB may be interested in joining us to host a small group of senior engineering students with an interest in healthtech. They will observe and discuss challenges with clinicians, with the aim of inspiring/sustaining their interest in the health industry and also contributing ideas and perspectives to some of the issues you face in daily practice. Please get in touch if you are interested. We will look to do this around the country wherever there are interested students, so again let me know if you might be interested to organise this in your home town.

Happy to help here too. Some decades ago myself and a few colleagues in medicine and engineering founded a ‘Biomedical engineering special interests group’—although this was of course in another country ![]()

Hey Robyn,
Are you connected with Michael Sheedy from Canterbury DHB? He’s the Team Leader for Bioengineering and heavily involved in innovation down there. Let me know if you’d like an intro ![]()
Thanks Sarv, an intro would be great
