It’s time to participate in the Workforce Census again (we’ve been doing it every other year since 2018). You can help make the invisible digital health workforce visible by being counted for Aotearoa New Zealand (NZ)!
If (1) you are working in a role that is either part or full time, permanent, contractual or consulting, (2) your work is about an aspect of digital health, and (3) you work in NZ, we want to hear from you. The deadline is the end of November 2026.
Your responses can help shape the future of the digital health profession, including workforce opportunities, skills and capability needs, career pathways and leadership development.
Previous census results have shown a very small proportion of Māori and Pacific digital health specialists, mostly women, those aged between 35 and 54, and low incidence of formal qualifications in digital health. Has this changed? And what should the change look like?
The Australian results for 2026 are describing leadership (how people enter leadership roles, what the roles are, and who is doing leadership). It would be good to compare their results with NZ. Here’s where you come in - complete the census now and let’s count you in for shaping the future of digital health workers in NZ.
