COVID-19 Contact Tracing Data Standard

First, @alastairk and I have recently had communication from a public health physician concerned about an apparently small amount of clinical informatics and public health input into the COVID-19 contact tracing data standard. Has anyone from @nz-ciln been involved? Would anyone be interested in giving constructive feedback on them?

Second, a couple of Discourse housekeeping things:

  1. Sub-categories work much better now. When you go to #nz-forum you will see our sub-categories much more clearly, and their topics will not be intermingled with the entire Forum. When you click the ‘home’ bit in the top left you will still get a full list of all the topics visible to you.
  2. Unfortunately, the Events / Calendar facility is currently broken.
  3. We could do with some help moderating the conversations on here. If anybody would be interested in helping out (a bit of a learning curve but not too much time required) please PM me.

Nathan, as far as I am aware the tracing data standard sits alongside the Testing data set (CBACs) which is much more clinical - HISO don’t duplicate fields but align standards to each other.
@alastairk thoughts?

Becky

Feedback on these two complementary standards is very welcome - there have been two or three iterations already:
HISO 10082:2020 COVID-19 Community Based Assessment Data Standard - what gets recorded at a CBAC or in fact anywhere else assessments are made; and an acknowledged input to SNOMED International’s complete COVID-19 Data Coding Guide
HISO 10085:2020 COVID-19 Contact Tracing Data Standard - demographics, Global Location Numbers and QR codes
