They have finally relented and have just now started calling it a Pandemic. Note the call for innovation -that is for us.
Yes privacy compliance is important, check out the NZ telehealth resource centre if you want more info.
Hi all,
Just to let people know we are aiming to put in a bid to HRC on use of mobile phone records and symptom recording apps to build an historical and live model of interactions between people and groups - if anyone from public health or other background would
be interested in bring involved please let me know. Very close deadline though.
Various levels of privacy available.
Pretty much based on work of Ciro Cattuto who is involved.

I have run into the 40 min timeframe in long meetings. I have been using MS teams meetings to remedy this. I have even run tutorial for students using Teams with no problems or time restrictions.
We are running internal training sessions on Zoom and properly managing virtual teams.
Gotta see the bright side here, this will advance light-years into using tele-tools a lot better I think.
@Srgurr as long as one of the group usually the host has a pro licence then the 40 minute free issue does not arise. His was premise we used in getting ZOOM pro licence for each rural practice in Northland. Enabled external clinics to dial in from free app or other health practitioners join webinars and meetings without multiple pro licences
Works well for us with our PHOneducation especially at moment. 50 odd attendees for COVID talk last night. Also I attend number national exec or board meetings facilitated by ZOOM without time restriction

Hi @lara Thanks for your post on 9 March aout what you are doing for COVID-19. A couple of questions:
- What system is your care pathway form in? Is it actually in Orion’s Care Pathways? I would love to see a copy of it if possible.
- What eOrder forms have you updated, and what is the wording of the question you have used? It would be interesting to see the list if it’s not too hard to pull it out.
Hi
use Orion Clinical Referral product - to make the in hospital eNotification
use healthLink product - to make the GP eNotification and forward onto POAC for payment
Both feed into Orion Care Pathway product - for ongoing monitoring of patients
- initial assessment
- recurring assessment
- final assessment
found via a simple search
Wording basically asks for
- epidemiological risk
- suspected/probable
- confirmed
- other airborne issues
more with pictures on PM
Can we share those pictures it openly here? They say that it is being made available freely.
Medtech have done a screening tool for patients booking via portal and for staff to use screening. With the changing case defitions at time of release a few days ago it was up to date. Being updated (its a web form running in an iframe within medtech) this morning. to take account of new case definition.
Useful resource from Scotland:
Published resilience planning docs for video consultations in primary care, hospital outpatient & hospital inpatient settings.
Very useful, thanks @michael.hosking
By replacing Near Me with any VC system such as Zoom we could adapt this for NZ.
$20million to Introduce a GP and Community Health clinical telehealth consultation service
@Ruth_Large
Thanks @michael.hosking. I hope they a) include include NZePS, and b) discuss with the likes of TLG to ensure a seamless patient care experience. The documents from the NHS Scotland provide some excellent process diagrams.
@Ruth_Large, @Greig
The problem is that we are all just too busy and stretched. And we may be out of time to get this stuff off the ground. I hope I’m wrong.
Great collection of various electronic solutions, ranging from EHR to Telehealth, booking, Physio solutions, etc. Most from AUS but still… might be useful:
