Are you interested in contributing to the development of international standards? Over the past two years, Standards NZ and HISO have been running a national subcommittee of the ISO/TC 215 Health informatics technical committee. Called a ‘national mirror committee’ we’re asked to provide input and vote on all sorts of matters around the development of ISO standards. At the same time, our group looks at the suitability of new standards for our health system in Aotearoa and we make recommendations to HISO on their adoption. We’re presently looking for volunteer experts to help us with matters as varied as medicines and devices, AI, digital identity and gender and sex. Contact me by PM if you’re interested!
