A healthtech speaker series by the Commercial Translation team of Te Tītoki Mataora, the Medtech Research Translator.
The design and implementation of health innovation is surrounded by ethical issues that require responsible research and development. We need to consider the impact these technologies might have on individuals who are targeted as potential users and society as a whole. How can we ensure that we’re being ethical, inclusive, and address equity in the technologies we develop? And what can we learn to make Aotearoa a leader in responsible research and innovation? Hear from three national and international leaders who are making strides in ethical design in medical technologies, organisational culture, and strategy on Thursday 17 March, 12 pm - 1 pm.
This will be followed up with an open-mike session on Tuesday 22 March 12 pm - 1 pm as an open discussion for all, focusing on some of the key points brought up during the panel session.
