CiLN Position Statement Update

In amongst all of the work responding to C19 @KarenDay and myself have continued to work on the CiLN position statement- we think it’s very close to being completed, and it will be posted in Dicourse soon for final consultation with CiLN members.

While incredible work and rapid implementations have been possible in the response to C19, it has also highlighted some of the investment shortfalls in our health system- including investment and dedicated roles for clinical informaticians to help guide and prioritise the investments needed for a sustainable and robust system; that is prepared for events such as C19. The release of the position statement has never been more timely.

Very keen to see it when done.
Amazing work being done here, thank you for it!

Great work @karenblake and @k.day - you have put a ton of thought and energy into this. That isn’t to denigrate the excellent team effort by many of @nz-ciln-advisory. We look forward to sharing it and getting constructive feedback from all of CiLN. This Position Statement will be the foundation of our push for advancing clinical informatics

And thank you also for this simple abbreviation - writing out SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19 has been getting quite annoying!!
