Autonomous Robot Delivery

Been a bit of press about these in my home town of Cambridge UK, and wonder if/when we could see these in NZ?

I could imagine them finding a use in pharmacy or food deliveries to housebound patients. Also working in the hospital environment with delivery of drugs, blood specimens or food around the site, jobs that would normally take up valuable time for staff, freeing them up to concentrate on patient interaction or staff security?

Our geography might be a challenge though for the outdoor tasks…

Thanks for highlighting Ben.
We are actively encouraging investigation of autonomous mobile robots for the facilities within the scope of regional hospital redevelopment programme within Te Whatu Ora. From our initial investigations the use cases and business cases appear strong, (especially for linen and food delivery).
As the hospitals move into the preliminary design phase, AMRs will be included for consideration.
