A Linkedin posting took me to the beta version for My Covid Record. Incredibly straight forward access via email. The RealMe access proved a bit problematic. Otherwise, it’s great to see my details and confirmation of being double vaxxed!
Totally agree! I tried it myself today, and have encouraged others to sign up on the site. It gets the brain wondering about what else can be added to the site long term. Better links with Primary through tertiary healthcare? Imagine a one stop shop where DHB’s upload the info to a centralised portal, and a patient can log on to get information on their appointments or clinical letters, or updating their demographics or proving eligibility that is then forwarded to the DHB PAS systems? I hate to use the phrase but it is a “Quantum leap” in moving towards a digital age finally. Lets hope we can expand it and bring DHB’s onboard with expanding its use.
I thought it was pretty easy but could only create an account using an email address. My real me isn’t verified and because we’re in lockdown I can’t go and get a photograph taken to get it verified. This means we can’t use it for this.
Actually on the real me page it says you can take your own photo yet there is no option and it’s lit it only lets you have one done to post shop.
I went to verify my Realme and hit the same problem. I clearly remember reading you could upload your own photo at the beginning of the process and then i’m at the end of the process and its saying now go to one of the following locations… Glad i wasn’t imagining it.
Actually, for a while, I thought I was imagining it and went and did it again to check.
I signed up using RealMe but because I had already verified my RealMe some time ago, it was a breeze. Quite impressed actually. This is a heck of a launch for MyHealthRecord and i’ve no doubt that people will find this frustrating if they don’t already have the pieces in place. We just need to remember the sensitivity associated with this information and the way the tool may be used in the future.
