I would be very interested in this, too.
Coming in late to this thread - I would be interested in participating in a future NZ Digital Health Academy (both as a student and supporter).
John
Iâm delighted to report that @searnshaw is leading CiLNâs initiative to establish an Academy. He is being assisted by a core group comprised of @michael.hosking, @KarenDay, @jon_herries, and @mike.collins. We also have a wider group which is contributing. If you would like to contribute, then reply to this post.
This is exciting because it is the pulling together of CCIO, CIO, academic, medical, nursing, and allied health informatics thinking, and has the promise to develop something that will serve us well in the sector - for the benefit of the whole health system (and all New Zealanders).
The threads pertaining to it in chronological order (you might not have access to all of these at present):

Kia ora all
Iâve been watching on as recent period of high demand and travel for work.
I am keen to continue to help with the planning as my input is required
regards
Rebecca
Hi Nathan,
Like the others, I am keen to be involved in developing the digital academy. Locally, it is a key initiative to develop our young clinical talent needed to achieve the digital transformation outlined in Te Awa. Equally, we would be keen to contribute to the program in anyway that makes sense for the program. I imagine most other DHBs have similar positions and would like the opportunity to participate.
Kind regards
Greig
Hi all.
I also support this initiative both for my own development but also to meet needs of any future clinicians taking on leadership roles in information services.
Regards
John
Yes, I am keen to be involved please!
Hi,
I firmly believe this is the way forward for health professionals of all types. Nathan you have summed up the issue I and colleagues face in that we are in post but unable to complete training that would allow us to be more effective and make more effective contributions and changes. Very keen to be involved in this going forward.
To this end I have set up @nz-academy-group. If you would like to join then click on the group name and indicate and ârequest to joinâ.
@karen.shaw, @John.Gommans, @rebecca.grainger, @alesha, and @Greig - you are all in the group.
As a group member you will get any Personal Messages pertaining to the Academy, and get notifications for any posts (like this one) in Topics when it is @mentioned. You may need to consider toning down your email notifications as per this post:

I am also very happy to participate when I could be useful. Will soon step down as dean of the medical school so wonât (I hope) be so caught up with university management!

Iâve joined you up to the @nz-academy-group; you may be well placed to help @searnshaw drive this forwards as I suspect that his day job will get busier and busier over the next year.
