Hi @shayne.hunter, @richard.medlicott , @NathanK, and @jon_herries
I’m a paediatric trainee that is running an AI company called clearhead and we have build the digital symptom checker that is accessible via multiple channels and it is COVID-19 only . It is free to use by the public and has a really nice UI =)
Simply go to our website: https://www.clearhead.org.nz/
Click COVID-19 Assessment and then begin. You will not need to create an account. It will take you <5 minutes to complete the screening assessment.
We have modelled the AI Chatbot based on MOH’s website https://covid19.govt.nz/ of who should be tested as well as education around COVID-19.
This can be updated within a few hours once we receive the latest update from MOH and therefore ensure consistent messaging that is currently not achieved with the Healthline as it is difficult to constantly update training for a large group of people at short notice.
It also has clinical input from other GPs and St John to ensure that those who needs to seek urgent help is able to depending on how they answer the questions e.g. we assess whether they have increased work of breathing if they say they have difficulty breathing which should address your concern @Ruth_Large and @shayne.hunter about more interactive formats.
We are currently working on being able to send users who meet case definition and who consent to sending the information to their GP’s PMS.
But you can definitely add it to your website already @richard.medlicott
I was interviewed on the AM show and you can check the interview out here.
