Having not heard of the Dexcom continuous glucose monitor previously - to now seeing two articles in one day!
The first - a piece from NZ parent who (aside from the main theme of the article) finds comfort and has regained sleep from it’s alert notifications feature, the second - the downside and risks from the Dexcom alert notification servers failing over this past weekend.
Who would bear responsibility for an AE that arose as a result of the server down-time? Eg. what if a hypoglycemic episode resulted in no alarm and led to harm?

Interesting - NTA is considering an implantable cardiac monitor next week which has an associated app for participants and monitoring. Once the public meeting has been held, I will be able to comment further.
