A late reply, but here at Breast Cancer Foundation we’re about to publish results of a pilot of home-based VR to provide durable symptom relief for people with advanced breast cancer (ABC). Statistically significant changes in all measures and, more importantly, clinically meaning improvement in some important areas.
I’m currently working with vr in medical education, currently thinking about a new project exploring acceptability and utility in patients with dementia. Early days.
There’s some case studies in using VR/AR for telemonitoring. . . but early days. Hololens don’t come cheap

Australian rural/remote care usage. Not sure how successful, but was aware of this being trialled a couple of years ago when Hololens 2 was new.
