Update on the consent and delegation Proof of Concept work
DIA and ACC have a team in the Govtech Lighting Lab - we are having weekly update meetings on this and I am part of a very constrained advisory panel. Few things have come up:
- Positive and negative reinforcement cycles exist between the person giving consent and the entity using their data
- We think there are three stages of consent - understanding (what am I giving consent for), trusting (the action of using the consent), changing (the concept of reviewing permission over time)
It seems to me that service will need to consider all of these elements and we need to solve problems along this journey. If you have any thoughts feel free to come back to me and I will add them back in.
