Excellent, comprehensive and actionable toolkit on how to mitigate risks in tech. It lists 8 risk zones, gives realistic examples of each, and has questions that you can ask of your product/feature to mitigate against them. Here are the risk zones that it covers:

1. Truth, disinformation, and propaganda
2. Addiction & the dopamine economy
3. Economic & Asset Inequalities
4. ML & AI ethics/bias
5. Surveillance states
6. Data control & Monetization
7. Implicit Trust & User Understanding
8. Hateful & Criminal Actors

Thanks Sarnaz. Often the driving forces of all these is that someone (bad actor) funding/aspiring their technology who still believes " the ends justify the means".

Until there’s an approach to verify these issues in products/services/concepts, it will be something that needs to debate with the insights presented here.

Yes, agreed, it’s important to keep a critical eye on these things. We’re hoping to run some events to open the floor for robust discussion on this topic through Te Titoki Mataora’s Commercial Translation Module, either towards the end of this year or early next year. Keep an eye out!
