Social Determinants of Health Webinar

Social Determinants of Health - a systems thinking approach

12:30pm to 1:30pm, Wednesday 25th May

Research exploring a holistic view of health outcomes in our communities suggests around 20 percent is attributable to care provided by the health system. The remaining 80 percent sits outside of the health system and together are called the ‘social determinants of health’.

The World Health Organisation identifies ten focus areas that contribute to these social determinants of health. This webinar focuses on one of these areas: water and its impact on people’s health and the health system. Panellists will also provide a Te Ao Māori lens and wider look at how social determinants impact Māori health outcomes.

This will be an exciting opportunity to explore and expand your thinking on holistic health outcomes and how data and digital are informing thinking in other areas that are connected to health.
