# NZCDI:2026 draft is now available for community comment

We welcome your participation in the development of NZ Core Data for Interoperability.

Feedback on this draft release is open until **31 August 2026**.

Dumb question. You know how Pharmac has removed the ethnicity criterion for access to some medications - flu vaccine and now for diabetes type 2? I am just wondering if that would impact the ability to see if proactive measures to improve health equity worked.

Well, since many of those measures have been dismantled over the last couple of years - yes!
