Health needs shift to view EMRs as long-term assets

Great points raised by Dr. Sullivan. Although EMRs do have some tangible cash avoidance benefits, (e.g. reduced radiology because now it’s easy to find previous images/reports), I’ve always considered the major benefit comes from the increase in ‘quality or care and patient outcomes’, (with the reduction in medication adverse events being a great example).
