# Having chatted with both the Breast Cancer Foundation and Jessica Manins about using VR for pain relief

Having chatted with both the Breast Cancer Foundation, and Jessica Manins about using VR for pain relief - very excited to see this being piloted. So many potential uses for other chronic conditions and diseases.

Not exactly the same, but research is underway at Starship investigating the effectiveness of Immersive Reality Experiences Technology (IRE) technology in improving wellbeing, social connectedness and social inclusion in hospitalised children - see NTA HDEC’s March 2019 minutes
