Design guided by research - voice of those we serve

Someone shared this research article with me (‘What information do patients want about their medicines? An exploration of the perspectives of general medicine inpatients’) and I think was well worth a read and has implications broader than meds domain. Fantastic work by the authors.

It brings to attention many of the capability gaps we know we have in our current health systems and design, and I’d love to see architects and informatics people form a response… (adding into plans some of the capabilities that can be inferred as a good start).

I think we need more of this type of research… maybe there is more out there already and I just haven’t got to reading it but I’m very keen on architecture building blocks being shaped by the voices of people we serve.
Does anyone have more to share?

I also learnt yesterday Hira has a wealth of personas informed by real conversations about to be published… it will be great to see what they inform as well.
